How do we create an inclusive culture and accessible environment in the workplace, school, and public spaces? Let us educate ourselves by attending the FREE seminar on the rights and privileges of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), in celebration of the 45th National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation (NDPR) Week with the theme “Persons with Disabilities Accessibility and Rights: Towards a Sustainable Future where No One is Left Behind.”
This PARKonversations Live! session titled “Accessibility: Rights and Privileges of PWDs in Philippine Law” will take place at the Mabini Hall, Rizal Park Luneta on 17 July 2023 (Monday), 2:30 p.m. Our guest speaker is Atty. Erinn Mariel C. Perez, an associate at the Abad & Perez Law, a full-service law firm based in Makati. She also teaches law subjects in the Legal Management and Behavioral Science programs of the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Santo Tomas. Among the subjects she teaches is Labor Standards, which deals with labor rights of all employees, including PWDs.
Empower yourself with knowledge about the legal framework surrounding the rights and privileges of PWDs and become a better ally! See you in Rizal Park Luneta!
*Participants who will join the seminar and answer the evaluation form will receive a certificate.
PARKonversations is the first online educational project of the agency born at the height of COVID-19 pandemic, when travels and movements were restricted and lockdowns seemed to be endless. At that time, the project aimed to convey to the virtual public the importance of open spaces, especially parks, in one’s general well-being and wellness.
The project has already covered various topics related to nature, arts, history, culture, and anything under the sun! This year, in celebration of the agency’s 60th Founding Anniversary, PARKonversations will take its new form as it transitions from a virtual talk / seminar to a physical one.
